Merry Christmas 2021: Christmas has always been celebrated as one of the most important holidays around the whole world.

Everyone’s favourite festival is around the corner; the festival of Carols, gifts, lights and decorations. Every year Celebrated on December 25, Christmas commemorates and marks the birth of Jesus Christ. From small children to adults all around the world, everyone enjoys this day by decorating baking cookies, Christmas trees, exchanging the gifts and letting kids believe in the magic of Santa Claus.

Christmas History

It is believed that Mary and Joseph gave birth to the 2nd holy trinity of Christianity, Jesus Christ, on 25 December in Bethlehem. The Jesus of Nazareth was a spiritual leader, whose teachings formed the foundation of Christianity.

Although Bible does not mention a specific date for his birth, Emperor Constantine, the 1st Christian Roman emperor, designated 25 December as ‘Christmas’ — a day to mark and commemorate Christ’s birth. In 1870 the United States of America declared 25 December as a federal holiday and it has been a widely-recognised holiday ever since.

Significance

This day  of 25 December serves as a reminder of Christ’s enormous sacrifice for mankind and his lessons on how to be a nobleman, as he is the emblem of all divinity. From saving to all humans from all devils God is said to have sent his son Jesus into the world. Christmas is also known as the ‘Feast of Nativity’ and has a religious as well as cultural significance for the Christian, as well as non-Christian community in the whole world.

Importance

Christmas event or day has been celebrated as 1 of the most important holidays around the whole world. On Christmas Evening, Christian people attend midnight mass at churches. Families christians decorate their homes with Christmas ornaments, tinsels, stockings, and most importantly, the tree.

Small Kids await the arrival of the father Claus, or fabled Santa Claus, an old man with a white beard decked in red, bearing a bag that is full of toys, with his reundeers and elves and at tow, arriving at the midnight time and leaving gifts under the decorated tree. Christian People spread cheer, attend carnivals and spend quality time with their family and friends on this day.
