1. English:
English is the most spoken language in the
Germany. In Germany 56% of the population speak English. Its growing popularity
as the official language of business in the Germany and has resulted in more
German businesses officially adopting English as their main language. While in
the most of the schools English has long been taught as a second language, its
importance as a second language for the young generation has overtaken French
in more recent years. Also a large number of native English speakers and
businesses from UK, Ireland, Australia and the US currently reside in Germany.
2. French:
French is the second mostly spoken language in
the Germany, 15% of the Germany’s population speak French. Its a popular second
language to learn in the German schools, the close connection between France
and Germany means a lot of young Germans people travel to the French
countryside after the school. Also many French young population move to the
Berlin and the rest of Germany to work there and to embrace their neighbour’s
international culture.
3. Russian:
Russian is the 3rd mostly language
in the Germany. 5% of the German’s population speak Russian. Following the
collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, there was a large influx of Russians to
Europe, with many choosing to remain in Germany. To date, Russian is the 3rd
largest migrant group in the country of Germany.
4. Turkish:
1.8% of the German’s population speaks Turkish. It is estimated that there are approximately 4 million people who belongs to Turkey are living in the Germany. However, the number of people who speak Turkish comes from a more diverse pool of nationalities. Turkey is widely spoken in many communities in Southeastern Europe. From Greece, Bosnia, Macedonia, Herzegovina, Bulgaria , Romania and also Cyprus. Many descendants or members of these communities live in Germany. More recently Germany has welcomed a large number of refugees from Syria and Iraq who also speak the Turkish language.

are still in existence. Some of which languages are starting to die out.
Low German, that is a West Germanic language
spoken in the north side of the country, while that language is not very

compare that figure to the population of some countries.
Upper and Lower Sorbian are spoken in
Brandenburg and Saxony respectively. There are only 0.09% of the German’s
population continue to speak both dialects. In fact the Lower Sorbian is a
Slavic minority language, is in great risk of extinction as the majority of its
speakers are elderly.
And finally there’s Frisian language, that’s a West Germanic language spoken in the
North Frisia region of the country. In the Germany Currently approximately
10,000 people speak it.
